Freeform Board Training
A freeform board is an unstable training surface that challenges the body to constantly adjust and stabilise as you move. Unlike training on a solid floor, every movement on the board requires your muscles to work harder to maintain balance and control — engaging the deep stabilising muscles of the core, hips and ankles that are often underused in everyday life. Benefits include:
- Improved balance, coordination and proprioception
- Stronger core, hips and ankles
- Reduced risk of falls and ankle sprains
- Correction of muscle imbalances and improved posture
- Low-impact strength building suitable for those managing chronic pain or joint issues
“Research shows that training on an unstable surface activates the deep stabilising muscles more effectively than conventional floor-based training”
